About WOMPS
Wollondilly Mobile Preschool (WOMPS) is a fully licensed, not for profit community based and managed preschool and has been providing high quality care and service to families and children within the Wollondilly area since 1981. All income is channeled back into the preschool to benefit and cater to all the individuals who utilise the preschool.
WOMPS caters to children within the 2-6 year age range and operates from community facilities in Bargo and Wilton. The mobile van allows us the flexibility to equip these facilities with extra equipment and materials to further facilitate the children’s learning during preschool activities.
Open from 9am-3pm during school terms, alongside trained and compassionate staff, children are able to actively explore, investigate, challenge themselves and make choices in both indoor and outdoor shaded environments.
Our aim is to provide each child with a developmentally-appropriate play-based program based on individual and group interests. We have a holistic approach to children’s education, giving equal importance to all areas of development, from thinking to creative, physical, self-concept, social and language skills. The program is offered in a family-based and community context, reflecting cultural diversity and focusing on encouraging social grouping and pro-social skills.
